Java 9 was released in September 2017.

Java 9 and 10 fall into the new short term Java support model and Oracle has no current plans to certify or support either version with any version of Oracle Forms on the server or the end-user tier. Java 9 itself is only planned to be supported until March 2018, moving to Java 9 could result in having to return to Java 8 once Java 9 support ends.

Customers should remain on Java 8 and consume those updates as they are released. After public updates for Java 8 are no longer offered, updates will continue to be made available for Oracle customers using dependent Oracle product (e.g. Oracle Forms) while those products remain entitled to Premier Support. Updates will be available through Patch 18143322.

Note that there are no plans to ever certify Java 9 or 10 for use with FMW 12.2 Forms or newer releases. Refer to the Fusion Middleware Certification Guide for the latest details.

Java 10 was released on 20 March 2018.

JDK 10, like JDK 9, is not a Long Term Support (LTS) release and is not certified to be used with any version of Oracle Forms on the server or end-user tier.
