Announcing Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.4.0)

Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.4.0) has been released to Oracle Technology Network (OTN), My Oracle Support (MOS), and Oracle Software Delivery Cloud systems over a phased release schedule outlined below. See Note 1073776.1, "Steps to Maintain Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)" for newer Patch Sets and Note 1290894.1. "Error Correction Support Dates for Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (11.1.1/11.1.2)" to plan your maintenance schedule. Oracle does not externally provide older versions for download. See Note 1071023.1 to request older media downloads. It is strongly recommended to install the latest Patch Set release to obtain full support as per Note 1290894.1.
 

January 14, 2011 - Initial release of most Full Installers to OTN.

January 14, 2011 - Update installers provided to MOS. Actual dates by platform displayed on MOS download page.

January 24, 2011 - WebCenter and Enterprise Content Management released to OTN

January 27, 2011 - Full production release Media Packs available for base platforms on e-Delivery. Other platforms to follow and are dependent on being listed as a certified platform.

·         Note: All certified platforms are expected to be provided to Oracle Software Delivery Cloud over the coming months depending on different unpublished factors. Oracle Support does not have this schedule and it does vary depending on the platform. Keep checking and/or contact your Sales Representative.

New Releases

If Oracle Forms & Reports is your only requirement, customers are recommended to install or upgrade to Oracle Forms & Reports Release 2 (11.1.2):

·         Depending on desired products, there are different delivery methods and licensing terms which affect download availability:

                  o    Full installers are available on OTN and Oracle Software Delivery Cloud under their respective license terms. If available for a specific product, a full installer will install version 11.1.1.5.0 as a new installation or update a previous release.

                  o    Update installers are available on Oracle Software Delivery Cloud and My Oracle Support under their respective license terms. These are also referred to as 'Patch Sets', to be applied to a previous release.

                  o    Downloads from OTN are subject to "Oracle Technology Network Developer License Terms".

                  o    Downloads from MOS and Oracle Software Delivery Cloud are subject to licensing terms appropriate for a production environment as per Oracle Fusion Middleware Licensing Information.
